Hello to my Blog from ZOHO Writer!

This is a cool idea, but I thought the instructions on how to use it could have been better. I also like the one million masterpiece. I am submitting a picture to be a part of it. The idea of being part of the largest artistic collaboration of all time is right up my alley!

NEW TECHNOLOGIES!!!!

I have loved participating in New Technologies- I have learned far more than I envisioned and really believe this will help me at my job. I can already see how I am going to use Library Thing to showcase new titles for free! I have begun sharing my blog with friends and family and they are enjoying my new knowledge as well. Calvin love watching YouTube dog videos!Thank you Alicia and PLAN for letting us "PLAY!"

NET LIBRARY

We had Net Library at Gulf Coast Community College and we found it very useful for students around research paper time because they could always find a book online to use for a source, even if all of the hard-bound print copies were checked out. I think for college libraries and public libraries, Net Library is a nice service to offer.

POD Casts

I like being able to look at previews of movies or tv shows. I hope to win the MP3 player to use for the music aspect of Yahoo...We'll see!

I LOVE WIKIPEDIA!!!!I think this is one of the best new technologies for it's usefulness out there! If one need some quick and I believe reliable info fast...wikipedia is the way to go!

Library 2.0

I think it's a terrific idea, but I agree that "One of the principles I would add to the Library 2.0 meme is that “the Library is human” because it makes the library a social and emotionally engaging center for learning and experience. Rollyo

I sure wish all of these cool things would use the same terminology to give directions. It is very difficult and time consuming to try to figure out how to put the toys on the blog. Rollyo is an ok tool, but it wasn't as impressive as some of the other toys we have played with.

Web sites and Loading Times

Since I began this class, I have really noticed the problems some web sites have with loading times. Even some sites where you would think the person in charge of web dev would know better. I want to go into their sites and fix the problems!
